Paws in Motion – Group Dog Training Session with a Professional K9 Trainer

Where: 5317 Norman’s Road, Rougemont, NC (Durham and Person counties)
When: June 2nd, 11am-1-pm ( rain or shine, there is a shelter)

Reservations: PLEASE make reservation BY MAY 30th, 2018 Space is limited, please make your reservations early.

Cost: $20 per person, (the fee includes a t-shirt, soft drinks and snacks, treats for your furry friends, a bandana for your dog, group training session) children are free (if you would like a t-shirt for your child there is a fee of $10), please bring your dogs!

Event schedule (11am-1pm, June 2nd)

  1. 11am-11:20 am Participants and their pooches are checking in, participants will enter in a drawing for free gifts, participants can place bids on auction items, get snacks and water
  2. 11:20-11:50 guest speaker, Cat Warren*, author of a New York Times Bestseller“ What the Dog Knows”, will share her experiences working with cadaver dogs.
  3. 11:50am-12:20pm group training session with experienced K9 trainer, Mike Baker *
  4. 12:20pm-12:40pm– questions for Mike Baker and Cat Warren, last chance to make bids on auction items
  5. 12:40-12:55 – announce auction winners, door prizes, take group photo
  6. 12:55-1:00pm wrapping up the event

Mike H.Baker –  Professional Dog Trainer

Mike has thirty (30) years of law enforcement experience and twenty (27) plus years working and training dogs for the law enforcement field. Having been a full time canine handler, unit supervisor and trainer, Mike knows what it takes in a dog and training to make a successful team and reduce departmental liability in canine deployments. His career specialty in Law Enforcement is in the canine field. He has personally gone to Europe to meet vendors and has worked and trained with them to get the right dogs for police service work in the United States. He has been an instructor at numerous seminars and has judged in the Police K9 Olympics.
